How the Test Works

This test includes grammar, vocabulary, and reading questions. After you complete it, you will receive a score that helps estimate your English level.

Score Guide:
0–8 = A2 Foundation
9–12 = B1 Intermediate
13–15 = B2 Upper-Intermediate

You will complete a Timed Reading Challenge before submitting the form. Your timed-reading score will be saved with your test.

Reading Passage - Test A

Maria moved to a new city because she wanted better job opportunities. At first, she felt nervous at work because she understood English better than she could speak it. During meetings, she often had good ideas, but she stayed quiet because she was afraid of making grammar mistakes.

One day, her manager asked her to explain a small project to the team. Maria prepared by writing useful phrases in a notebook and practicing them out loud every morning. After a few weeks, she became more confident. She still made mistakes, but her coworkers understood her message. Maria learned that communication is not about speaking perfectly. It is about sharing ideas clearly and continuing to improve.
